SERMON FOR SUNDAY……
Honestly chums, I hate ‘advices’ – be it giving or
getting. See, I firmly believe that we don’t need them for we are sufficiently
matured. I mean, matured enough to differentiate between ‘paddy’ and ‘husk’,
and choose on our own. Right?
However, this Sunday is different. It is all about how
NOT to be tooooo choosy while selecting your friends. You CAN make friends with
anybody, well, almost anybody, if only you TRY. Satya Sai Bhabha says, “If you
take one step unto me, I will take TEN”. That, kinda sums up my thoughts on this
awesome Sunday. Try taking at least half a step towards someone, and you will
surely get at least two or three in return, if not five or ten. I promise you. Try
it TODAY…….
Talking about ‘friendships
and ‘maturity’, of late we have been seeing a lot of mud-slinging, blatant lies
in National as well as international forums. We saw how the American President
boasting about stopping Indo – Pak battle, how he can stop Russia – Ukraine
war, how he is the best bet for this year’s NOBEL Peace Prize etc. etc. We also
saw how he went about tariff enhancement to almost all nations without any rhyme or
reason. It is another story that he had to bite the bullet, and revert to
earlier norms, particularly with China. And, especially with India, he has been
most illogical and revengeful for the silliest of reasons claimed. But, but
then, he either forgot or under estimated that he is dealing with a “different”
kind of leader, and not the “accidental” or “mouni” kind …...!! And, as for the
national scenario, you are reading about ‘yatras’, ‘Vote Chori’ etc., etc. There
are politicians insisting on ‘retaliatory’ tariffs etc. But it calls for
extreme levels of maturity and prudence, long term repercussions etc. Our PM is
going to outsmart the immature guy called Trump by stressing on indigenously developing products of international quality standards –
consumables, as well as others, and at the same time exploring new and friendly
avenues. Textile exports and diamond exports are the major or perhaps the ONLY
areas where we are likely to be affected. And we are already in the threshold
of exploring and finalising the deals with a host of alternative sources. And
now comes the climax. Very soon, India, China and Russia are going to be the three Super
Powers.
Watch out for the
outcome of the two-day SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization)
summit which starts today. Already the popularity chart of Modi Ji has sky
rocketed, and the world is now looking at our dear Prime Minister with
unbelievable awe and admiration.
This indeed calls for a
very high level of statesmanship, dedication, ‘Nation first’ attitude, and
above all, total sincerity and commitment. Way too different from releasing one
lie after another, shower abuse after abuse, and having the sole agenda of “Maligning
Modi” in 'Mohabath ki Dukan' (If you thing that I’m referring to Papu the PM aspirant (?) OMG!
it’s your problem and not mine!)
That’s all for now,
chums. Oh my, it is indeed terrific. Back-to-back, two blogs. Arre, vah Ananth bhai, vaahh.. Coming back to making friends, and why one can make friends eith any body, please watch the following youTube cartoon, link for which is given below:
